Going on a trip with pets is always a hazard. Even if your dog likes to ride in your car, traveling over a longer period of time always means stress for your dog or cat. There are several things you need to consider before taking your dog or your cat for a longer trip with you. One of them is getting collapsible travel pet feeding bowls.
Updated 2017: new products added!
Making frequent breaks on your trip is one of the most important points you need to remember if your pet is coming with you. Collapsible travel pet feeding bowls are practical. You can store them easily away among your other luggage. Collapsed they don’t take away too much space which is absolutely perfect for hiking, picnics and camping. You can offer your dog water or even treats and food during your trip in a way your dog knows.
Try to create positive automobile experiences for your pet. This means, it isn’t enough to think that your dog/cat is used to riding in your car by going to the vet regularly. Your pet might connect the car ride with negative experiences at the vet. Begin to take your pet for longer and longer fun trips, slowly familiarizing it with the fact that there might be longer travels ahead.
Another important detail is getting your dog/cat used to the new collapsible travel pet feeding bowls. The more your pets know these bowls and get used to them, the better they feel drinking and eating out of them during your trip.
Many of the here presented models come with clips in order to be able to clip them to your belt or to the dog’s leash. Therefore you can easily and conveniently take them on your daily walks with your dog.

The bowls are quite nice. Relatively small. We have a 60lb lab mix that has no trouble with them.
These worked very well when I was in a local park with my eight-lb. yorkiepoo on a warm summer day. I tucked the folded water bowl into a big pocket. A water bottle was in another pocket. I found the bowl easy to open and close, and very convenient for him to drink from.
I actually bought two sets. I have one clipped to each of my crates and one hooked to my daypack. They are fairly sturdy and hold a decent amount of water. My dog might drink one of these down every hour, but this way I always at least have a water/food dish if I need it.
